Founder

Matthew Berry is a seasoned real estate professional with almost 15 years of experience advising, investing, and practicing law in the industry before becoming a Founder and Principal of Wayland Real Estate Capital. In addition, Matthew serves as an independent advisor to The John Buck Company, a premier vertically integrated developer of trophy office and multifamily assets nationwide, where he previously served as Managing Director and focused on partnership and fund formation for the company’s development and value-add investment opportunities. During this time, Matthew led the capitalization of over $450M of single-asset joint ventures and comingled vehicles. Prior to joining JBC, he practiced law at Skadden Arps, where he led the closing of over $5B of real estate transactions.

Founder

Jason Manaster has almost 25 years of industry experience. In addition to his role at Wayland, Jason is the managing principal of AC Properties and its affiliates, a collection of family-owned real estate holding companies which are the result of periodic spin-offs from affiliated family-run operating businesses, and which own more than 300,000 square feet of multi-tenant commercial assets nationwide. Prior to his current role, Jason was the Vice President of HELIX Commercial Real Estate, an Arizona-based full-service real estate firm, where he led the development or asset management of various projects totaling more than 300 residential units and 50,000 square feet of office space.

Founder

Marc Klutznick founded Wayland Real Estate Capital after a 22-year career at Klutznick Enterprises, a Chicago-based family office focused on real estate investment and development. The Klutznick family has been involved in the planning and development of shopping centers and mixed-use properties since the 1940’s. As a principal of Klutznick Enterprises, Marc was responsible for the identification of real estate investment opportunities across multiple asset classes. Marc currently serves as managing principal of KP Residential, a Los Angeles-based developer of luxury single family homes.
